What Is an Adapatogen and How Is Goji Considered One?
Goji is making a name for itself as an adaptogen. Many people do not understand what an adaptogen is, and it is a very specialized term. When you know what it means, and you know the properties of Goji berries, you can see why Goji is considered an adaptogen.
An adaptogen, in the simplest terms, is an herbal medicine that helps the body to adapt to all the circumstances within and outside the body. Furthermore, adaptogens are said to increase the body's resistance to every kind of stressor. Whether the body is being attacked by a chemical, a biological, or a physical agent, the adaptogen will protect the system.
One of the primary criteria for adaptogens is that they be nontoxic. Goji berries are safe. Even in large quantities, the worst they do is to produce loose bowel movements. They are definitely not toxic.
Another requirement for a substance to be an adaptogen is that it must create resistance to a variety of stressors. Goji has this capability. It guards against biological stressors such as viruses. It creates strength to fight physical injuries. It counters the effects of chemicals in the environment. It is all around a powerful product.
